According to the local police's annual report, classic crimes such as burglary, theft, and street violence have continued to decrease in Lier during 2025. However, cybercriminalité, domestic violence, and vandalism have risen, while drug-related offences remain elevated despite dropping from record 2024 levels. In response to the growing cyber threat, police are conducting home visits with volunteers to educate residents on how to protect themselves from online criminals and scams.
