A group of 24 pigs accidentally fell into a manure pit in Langemark, triggering an emergency response from local firefighters. Working alongside a specialized animal rescue team, emergency personnel managed to extract and rescue 20 of the animals from the pit. Unfortunately, four pigs did not survive the incident. The successful rescue operation prevented further losses in what could have been a complete disaster for the livestock.
